In the proposed budget, its bit difficult to fit amplifier, though its highly recommended. I have come with a setup, wherein you can upgrade it later with amp.
HU: Pioneer DEH-3290UB (WMA/WAV/MP3 Playback, Front USB and Aux in, Front + Rear Preouts) Note: If you plan to add subwoofer, please let me know...
Front: JBL GT5-S265C - component speaker system Rear: JBL GT5-S265 - co-axial .. fits in door.
If you are keen on amplifier, you can go for JBL GT5-644 now or later. Oval speaker (6"x9") can also be fit in rear parcel tray, but rear door installation sounds better to me.

Hi Raghu, Thanks for the update, would like know if not using an amplifier or subwoofer would lower the sound quaility? My initial plan was to get going now and upgrade the system as and when feel necessary. As I would be getting my car only in the first week of OCT , I still have some time. I am looking at going for a decent config to start with and then add on. I would also like to know what would be the process to get the system which you have suggested. Will there be any additional installation charges.

Well, there's no replacement for subwoofer. Without sub, your system is going to miss low frequency reproduction. Amp is a good thing to have, as you might have seen in many discussions in our forum, your HU will not be able to power the speakers sufficiently. Amp is highly recommended.
We do have door step installation service in Bangalore. So, just give us a call on 96111 28248, We will be glad to carry the installation.

You are suggesting both Amp and a sub should be a good idea to have even to start off with. If at all I go with your suggestion, it would increase my budget by quite some amount. Can you sugeest the second best option which can fall within my budget. It would surely be a great idea of getting the stuff done at door step!!

You can go for Pioneer DEH-4290SD, It has 3 preouts. So, Now you can simply have a basic setup, and later you can plug amp and subwoofer !

hi 4290sd is a better option compared to 3290ub. raghu it has two preouts (rear/sub switchable) , 5 band eq. try with pioneer tsa 1702c components and oval speaker on the wodden tray. for oval speaker u can consider hetrz dsk 690 or jbl gt5 396. overall it will be around 17.5k. pioneer component is far better than jbl. trust me

Oh.. I am so sorry.. @Vipin, Yes, it has 2 preouts .. By suggesting this, I really meant using the rear/sub switchable option. We can easily power front components and a subwoofer using 4-channel amp. If we need another RCA, we can use a High-Low converter anytime.

I too vote for hertz or Infinity reference speakers. The Infinity compos are good, sturdy and warm sounding. Do you wish to propose revised budget? Most ppl end up doubling their budgets in ICE world .. lolz..

Looks like 15k would not be sufficient!!! Thanks all for your suggestions, but frankly speaking, I am getting a bit more confused Ok. Thinking of increasing my budget to 20k....

@srivishal, hey its very common here; ppl end up above the initial budget. Frankly subwoofer cost will be around 4-5K and box will be near 2K and amp another 4-5K - (All good brand setup in decent price) At the same time i suggest not to go for low quality stuff just by budget constraint, as raghu suggested for for decent setup now and make that flexible to upgrade. In 20K you will get 4290SD, 2 components and 2 rear speakers from infinity i think. That will be a good setup and flexible for upgrading.
