I want to fit an audio system in my new Ritz VXi. I am interested in the combination of

Head Unit - Alpine CDE-103BT

Component Speakers - Boss Audio DC60.2

Sub wooffer - Boss Audio CX8

Is it a perfect combination and will it suit Ritz? Will it work without an external amplifier? If not, will an Alpine MRP-F300 amp make it work? What will be the cost of each component (including that of amp)?
The component speakers are 6.5inch and subwoofers are 8 inch. Plans to install 2 subs in parcel tray and components in front door and the tweets in dash. Is it ok?
Do I need to damping? Can I fit 6.5" components on the door, 1" tweets on dash board and 8" subwoofers on the parcel tray? Are they capable of taking it? If I fit amp also in the parcel tray will it create any problems? Can you tell me whether the speaker combination is a perfect one or not? What is your opinion about the entire system?

Well Raghu, I have one more doubt. I'm a hardcore music lover. I used to listen to hiphop, rap, rock, metal, new gen melodies, soft sad & love songs, bollywood hits etc... I prefer equal importance to all ranges of sound (low, mid, high). Keeping these two things in mind which one will you prefer a 8" subwoofer or 10" subwoofer. If you prefer 10" can you tell me which one is a better choice Bose Audio CX10 or Boss Audio CH10. Please select the best one that suits me & the current cofiguration. If you prefer 8" inch one then I think Boss Audio CX8 is good, na?

@Darvin, Boss Audio is a good brand. But, since last 3 years I haven't been tracking it especially after encountering the low grade dups in bangalore of same brand. I got the same reviews by few trustworthy installers in chennai, mumbai & delhi.

If its genuine, its good in quality for sure. I used to love their amp kits once upon a time Smiley

Well, in my opinion, I would recommend atleast 10" sub. either from Polk Audio or Hertz. And put it in a 1 cu.ft. or .88 cu. ft. box. It booms. Check them out:

and
Hertz - Energy series - ES250 (http://www.hertzaudiovideo.com/default_en.htm)

You are right raghu... of late not heard  of BOSS. I have encountered problem with their subs ... then stops selling. polk or hertz is the ideal choice.. well 8" subs are good  but i have not seen any open air type 8" subs ... so putting in the plank is a question mark for me.
in terms of component speakers  polk db 6501 is a good choice. other option could be infinity 6030cs, pioneer TS A 1702c.
Alpine 103bt is a nice HU if you are looking for bluetooth option.

See my friends told me that 2 10" woofers will produce too much bass compared to other sounds coming from 2 6.5" mid speakers and 2 1" tweeters. What they are telling is to go for rear speakers since I prefer equal importance to all sound ranges or to keep 8" only. Is there any truth in this, will 10" make other sounds not audible? I want all sounds to be audible, no sound must get immersed in other. And I want good bass too. So which 1 should I go for? Can you suggest the best brand and model to select in the that.

darvin, adding subw not overlap any other frequency of sound. subw means for bass lovers who desire boom punch of bass. Referring your music state in your first post, u should opt subwoofer. Am sure your Alpine HU have separate subwoofer control enables u to control over bass.
