Hello guys...sorry for the delay in replying as i was busy researching for my ICE.

Finally i have managed to short list my ICE but want your expertise again b4 finalising

HU : Clarion VZ-309 (the reason I have choose this is because in that price bracket im getting complete multimedia in a single unit that i wished for.Only thing is it doest have bluetooth but that doesn't bother me.Its new 2009 range product from clarion and i have also gone through some reviews where its easily getting a thumbs up) . I'm buying it from Sonicelectronics.com or my boss will probably carry it along from US. Link: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_17850_Clarion+VZ309+-VZ-309-.html

Components : Infinity Kappa 60.9 cs....could you provide me the Approx pricing for this and good dealers in mumbai to buy the same? how about illusion audio in same price bracket?

Rear: Polk audio db690 or Infinity Kappa A692.9i or Ref 6933 CF......I dont wanna fancy much in the rears so want quality but  around 5.5k.Please help me with this...Should i go for 3 way or 2 way would suffice considering my subs listed below??

Amps : Clarion APX490M (720W Max, 4-Channel Marine Amplifier (APX-490M)).....from sonicelectronics.com....I feel it has great specs for this price....kindly check out specs link:http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_11902_Clarion+APX490M.html

Subs:Alpine SWR-1222D (TYPE R) 12" Dual 2 ohm Type-R Subwoofer...from Sonicelctronics.com link:http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_4243_Alpine+SWR-1222D+-TYPE+R-.html.......kindly chck the specs and suggest.

Good combination. You can power the front components & subwoofer (2 coils) with this amp. since the power delivered is slightly more than the power handling capacity of components, make sure to set the HPF on the amp properly. High frequencies contain less power! And avoid running the system at max. volumes for long long hours.

For subwoofer, the amp power output is perfect. No issues.

As you rightly said, subwoofer is powerful enough.. so use rear speakers as fills. Simply use DB 690's in the rear and run them directly from HU.

I have confusion regarding my front components...

I'm comparing between Kappa 60.9 CS and Alpine SPR-17S...also i found the specs of SPR - 17S is on a little higher end than Kappas....but who is the winner in my setup according to you considering my Clarion 720 W amps??
(for specs of Amps chk:http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_11902_Clarion+APX490M.html)

how about Illusion, ID or other Comps ...which is best according to you within $200 segment considering my amps?

Also I fail to understand the Concept of 2 ohms or 4 ohms for speakers??
I will power my amps to front Comps and Sub..
SPR - 17S requires 4 ohms and Kappas 60.9 cs requires 2ohms....
Subs I have selected are Alpine SWR-1222D (TYPE R) 12" Dual 2 ohm Type-R but I can also get Alpine SWR-1222D (TYPE R) 12" Dual 4 ohm Type-R at the same price of $130....

Do I have to go 2ohms or 4 ohms for entire setup or I have the convenience of using 2ohms for one and 4 ohms for other?? Undecided  and which is best way should i go according to you considering the Clarion 750 W amp??

Please advice and recommend for my setup...

Also u had previously mentioned but I like to confirm again... what is the maximum size of Comps i could go for in my front Accent doors without any mods or cutting to the doors? will 6-1/2" fit easily or i should hang on to 5-1/4" or 6"?

what do u recommend?

Well, Alpine SPR-17S are also premium speakers. Actually, you are free to choose between Kappa's or Alpine SR-17S technically. I have seen both; Both are amazing.. since you are already considering the Alpine sub, I would suggest Alpine for front component also.

Regarding 4-ohm , 2-ohm confusion: Well, the lingos make it more confusing. Kappa's make use of  "True four ohm impedence" technology, meaning its rated impedance is 2-ohms, i.e. low impedance design and also fits perfect in 4-ohm setups. Actually speaking, the power source decides, at what ratings your speakers are running.

In any case, the power output of your amplifier is a function of amp's efficiency and the battery levels. Very few brands really meet the claimed output levels.

You can buy dual 2-0hm sub and sufficiently power it with this amp. You need to wire the voice coils in series to present 4-ohm load. See the attached image for the amplifier to speaker & sub wiring mode.(taken from amp. manual)

And yes, we can fit 5-1/4" or 6-1/2" speaker with spacer ring. No modification required.
