Hi Guys,

I'm a baby in the field of electronics and so requesting for your help in choosing the right home theatre system for my home.

I'm a great lover of bass and would always think that when audio is switched on, the walls should be vibrating because of the bass effect. Not that I need this effect in high volumes, I would like to have the same bass in low volumes also. Can the audio gurus guide me with some suggestions? I have started roaming around SONY showrooms but still in a confusion to choose one.

@Karthik, Well, before we start discussing the configuration, I would like to know your budget for the same.

There are many mid, high end brands out there.. check ONKYO, Sonodyne too...
and there are Polk audio, denon, focal and ..a lot of them Smiley

Anyways, please let us know the budget so that guys here can suggest you a best fit configuration.

Hi Vivek,

That was a very quick reply. You guys are too fast  Smiley.

Well, I haven't defined myself a budget yet. But to put it for a best suggestion it would be @50,000/-. As I said in my first post first thing I look for is to have a rocking bass effect(with mind blowing punch Smiley) apart from which, I would also think of to have surround speakers, DTS, Dolby, USB etc.

Ok. In 50K budget I suggest to choose a HTiB (Home theatre in a box)  thats all inclusive of receiver, surrounds and subwoofer. Have a look at Onkyo HT-S3200. Its a 5.1 Dolby digital setup and features a powerful subwoofer. You can also look at Onkyo HT-S6200 , 7.1 channel system. Audition them first and then pick.

I hv recently auditioned the Sony DAV-DZ790K. Its powerful ..sounds good. But what i found was i was paying more for sony specific feature like 'bravia sync." etc. I have Samsung LCD TV. But the cost of unit is 28K. Have a look.
