Oh.. no ... Not at all..  Sorry.

Ya.. See, in the current setup, you don't have low frequency component at all. Adding subwoofer will really bring in almost all audible frequencies.

Well, I have seen many modifications, wherein the subwoofer is fit in the front center of dash. As far as sub is concerned, you can keep it anywhere, in the sense that low frequency sounds are non-directional. But, try few places and positions and choose the one where it sounds better. Even in boot space, we do this exercise to find the best sounding position.

ok. which channel best suitable to connect subwoofer? (wiring diagram attached again.)

1. Through Channel-1,2,3,4 via external amplifier
or
2.  self powered subwoofer directly connect to separate subwoofer channel-5,6

Pl also suggest brand & approx price of ampli & subw. against option-1 or 2 to be advised by you.

thanks. with this I think, i collected lots of information to take decision.

Well, as I mentioned previously, I think, channels 5 & 6, are pre-amp outputs for subwoofer.
Please check this in manual. If yes, use these for subwoofer amp. and connect the subwoofer to amp outputs.

Depending on whether 5 & 6 are pre-outs or speaker level, You can also choose a "self powered subwoofer ", if you want.

Can u pl take a pain and help me out if anything on amplifier mentioned in attached manual? oops! manual size too big, cant attached here. posting link here:(Thanks for sparing time.)clarion dxz 576usb

After above, pl also suggest, if 5&6 channel would be best call for subwoofer, which brand should i opt?

Yes.. you should use channel 5&6 for subwoofer amplifier. You can't directly connect subwoofer. You have to use amplifier, as these channels are pre-out RCA connectors.

In page - 22, it explains how to ON/OFF external amp.  Once you add amp., you can set it to ON.

Well, since you already have blaupunkt speakers, whatz your feel with blaupunkt? I was about to suggest blaupunkt amp... hence I was just checking your opinion on that brand.

Truly speaking, they are doing their job remarkable. Of course, no issue on blaupunkt

Till now, I cleared on channel to be used- its 5&6.
But still confused should I opt "self powered subwoofer" or subwoofer with external amplifier. Model? price?

(attaching Clarion HU tech. specs for your ready use, if required)

Well, "self power subwoofer" means a subwoofer box with built-in amplifier. In this case, you can't choose amp of your choice. Its a matched combination by the company.

Practically there's no difference. Its just that either you choose your own combination of amp & sub or you simply leave it to the manufacturer of the "self powered sub".

Which one would you like to go with?

I would suggest :

amp: VA 275 (2 Channel ) price: 9K
Sub VW300  - price: 8.5K

both by blaupunkt. It will be really voice matched! All Blaupunkt.

You can also look into
Sub: Polk Audio DB 1240 (price: 6K) and use the above said blaupunkt amp.

Both are equally good. Prices can be negotiated further Smiley

Wait .. wait .. VW300 is a beast .. actually =343]Blaupunkt VPa 2140 Pro would do full justice @ 14K

Or else go with polk + blaupunkt combo as above..

No .. I mean VW300 as VW800 is was not available in India.

But, if you can get Vw800, nothing like it.. You can simply use VA275 amp and it will boom !

Regarding the box, go for Sealed Enclosure of minimum 1 cu. ft. dimension.

For amp wiring, use either tsunami or scosche amp wiring kit of min 8 guage.

thanks dear raghu. i think, now i can make full decision on it.
one last question, do u think this subwoofer will not overpass to little front 4incher speaker. I am suspecting on sound balance, putting subwoofer in boot, its like sound coming from back, isn't?....or i am wrong...

No .. No.. low frequencies are non-directional. Due to constrained car size, it feels like its bit directional. But, no issues. Find a right position in the boot ..it will be balanced. You can also adjust the subwoofer level to balance it , if you feel the bass is more.
